Cincinnati State Grad Featured in Video

Over the past six years, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) has supported public media’s American Graduate initiative to focus on what happens after high school graduation, helping young people access pathways to gainful employment in high-demand career sectors.

Ne’Onni Napier, a Woodward High School valedictorian and recent Cincinnati State graduate is featured in a video produced through American Graduate: Getting to Work. Ne’Onni describes her construction technology pathway that blended a degree and work experience at Valley Interior Systems. With her employer supporting the cost of her education, Ne’Onni received her Cincinnati State degree in August.   CET is highlighting pathways into well-paying, in-demand jobs, and resources available to Greater Cincinnati residents. Specifically, middle-skills jobs offer opportunities to people looking to start or change a career. These jobs require some education and training after high school, but not necessarily a four-year degree.

CET is also partnering with public television stations in Columbus and Cleveland to address issues of statewide significance including career tech education, employment legislation, alternative pathways to careers and more.
