College Credit Plus allows well-prepared high school students to take college-level courses. Ohio’s new College Credit Plus can help students earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from community colleges or universities. The purpose of this program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wide variety of options to college-ready students. Taking a college course from a public college or university College Credit Plus is free. That means students incur no cost for tuition, books or fees.
Students can choose any course that applies toward a degree or workforce certification at a public (or participating private) college. College readiness is determined by the individual college- there is no minimum GPA required. In addition to being non-remedial, College Credit Plus courses may not be religious in nature.
Every course taken through a college credit plus partnership also counts toward high school graduation.  College courses offered in the high school are the same as the course offered on campus.  College credit is transcripted upon student’s successful completion of the course.
